With more than 30 years of experience as a board-certified pharmacist, clinical educator, professional speaker, and published author, Tom Viola has earned a national and international reputation for making pharmacology practical and useful for all members of the dental team.

Pharmacology Declassified

As the founder of Pharmacology Declassified, Tom educates clinicians about how medications prescribed outside dentistry affect dental care, as well as how dentist-prescribed medications relate to other medical issues.

Teaching & Professional Service

Tom is a faculty member of more than 10 dental professional degree programs and has received several outstanding teacher of the year awards.

He also serves as a consultant to the American Dental Association’s Council on Scientific Affairs.

Publications & Continuing Education

Tom is known for his contributions to professional journals and has served as a contributor, chapter author, and peer reviewer for several pharmacology textbooks.

Since 2001, he has presented more than 1,000 informative, humorous, and engaging continuing education seminars and webinars to dental professionals internationally.
