This evidence-based course equips dental professionals with the latest research and guidelines for Non-Surgical Periodontal Therapy (NSPT). Participants will gain valuable insights into effectively treating and stabilizing periodontal disease by covering a wide range of adjunct procedures such as oral hygiene, antibiotics with SRP, ultrasonics, lasers, and more. Attendees will learn to apply evidence-based decision-making, review current guidelines, and critically assess the efficacy of various treatments to develop comprehensive care plans for their patients.
 

In this course we will discuss:

  1. Explain the different levels of evidence
  2. Explain the different components of Evidence-Based Decision Making (EBDM).
  3. Review the fundamentals of various adjunct procedures used during NSPT. 
  4. Discuss the latest research and current guidelines on each adjunct procedure for NSPT.
  5. Considerations for in-office and home care for patients with spinal cord injuries.
  6. Enable attendees to create comprehensive treatment plans based on the above knowledge.
